Railway Interlocking System (RIS)

• Regulates railroad switches
• Prevents collisions between trains
• Directs trains along the correct tracks. When the train passes, it locks the railway switch, which unlocks when the train reaches its destination
• Used in the interlocking control system for railway stations and the safety control systems of mining corporate

 
Centralized Traffic Control System (CTC)

• A monitoring and managing system that oversees overall train traffic and railway station operation
• A dispatching command system that integrates technologies of computer, network communication and modern control
• Adopted the intelligent decentralized-autonomy design principle
• Compatible dispatching command systems for both train and shunting
• Control adjustment program of train operation

Sales and Maintenance Service

The Group has posted a sale of more than 800 sets of systems in the railway signaling industry, in which the Group's market share for 2007 was above 30%.

Beijing Jiaoda Microunion Technology Co., Ltd., a company newly acquired by the Group, is principally engaged in the R&D of signaling products and production in railway signaling and city rail transportation industries. It is a major supplier of railway station computerized interlocking software and system integration, and holds the relevant license granted by the Ministry of Railway of the PRC for the provision of railway signal products. It has maintenance and service centers in relevant Railway Bureaus in the PRC.

Research and Development Center

Research direction and focus

• Developing computerized safety software and hardware system appliations of railway signaling systems, in which its technology reaches a leadership level in the PRC
• Focusing on the development of high speed railway in the PRC, and research & develop a train operational control system specializing in high speed railway.
• Partnering with R&D units and enterprises domestically and abroad, and develop city railway train operational control system based on wireless communication.
• Upgrading the existing signal products and enhance the performance and functions of the existing products.
• Possessing nine software products rights.

Railway Signaling Industry Updates

• To boost the domestic demand in China, State Council announced that RMB4 trillion will be spent on a stimulus package on to 2010 in 10 key areas
• Out of 10 key areas, one of them focused on increasing the investment in transportation infrastructure such as railways, coal transport lines, highways and airports
• The speed up of transport infrastructure construction provided the Group a handsome prospect
• Construction of 2,000km of subway and light rail commenced serving in ultra large cities in China
• An investment of approximately RMB600 million
• High speed rail and new city train equipment is one of the 16 important technology equipments
